Chili Con Carne

Enjoy :)

  1. Saute the onions in some olive oil and remove from the pot.
  2. Cook the beef and sausage until it is browned. Stir while cooking.
  3. Drain the fat and add the salt, sugar, pepper, oregano, cumin, chili powder and stir until combined.
  4. Add tomato sauce, onions and garlic and water. Stir well over high heat until it starts to boil.
  5. Reduce heat to a low cook covered for 2 hours.
  6. Let the chili sit for 10 minutes or so.

Typical recipe feeds 6 Yankee's or 3 Texan's


Serving Suggestion

Serve topped with chopped onion and cheese and some tortilla chips on the side.
